Hatton is a small town tucked away in the hills of Sri Lanka. Since Hatton is 4,170 ft above sea level, it is much cooler than the rest of the island and was a favourite holiday spot for the British. Key Attractions
Hatton, nestled in Sri Lanka's picturesque Central Highlands, offers breathtaking views of lush tea plantations and mist-covered mountains. The renowned Adisham Bungalow, a former Benedictine monastery, provides a glimpse into colonial history with its stunning architecture. Adventure seekers can trek up to the Devon and St. Clair's Falls, two of the most beautiful waterfalls in the region. Adam’s Peak
An hour drive south of Hatton, you will find Adam’s Peak. Also known as Sri Pada, this is perhaps the most famed mountain in Sri Lanka and is a holy site for all religions in the country. The name Sri Pada translates to “sacred footprint” a reference to the impression found at the top of the mountain.

St. Clair’s Falls
St. Clair’s Waterfall is one of Sri Lanka’s widest waterfalls, and referred to as the “Little Niagra of Sri Lanka”. Although the cascade is just off the Hatton – Talawakele road, it is one of the most picturesque waterfalls as it runs through green hills and lush tea estates. The waterfall got its name from the St. Clair Tea Estate– the tea estate in which it runs through.

Lover’s Leap Waterfall
Lover’s Leap Waterfall, located near Hatton, is a stunning 30-meter-high waterfall set amidst lush greenery. It is named for a local legend of star-crossed lovers, adding a romantic allure to its natural beauty. The waterfall cascades down rocky cliffs, creating a picturesque scene perfect for nature lovers and photographers. Surrounded by tea plantations, the area offers a peaceful, tranquil atmosphere for visitors to enjoy.
